To help me remind me to do this I have Ben Franklin's quote "Tell me and I forget. Teach me and I remember. Involve me and I learn." up on my whiteboard in front of my class. I created this activity for use in my second year French class. My students learned all about our solar system en français while completing a series of on-line classes through the High Adventure Science website (http://has.concord.org/ “Is there life in Space?” )It is intended for use with my Notre Système Solaire Powerpoint. There is a teachers and student version in this PDF . Not only do students learn about our solar system, they also apply what they have learned about stars and planets by “discovering” a new planet of their own.
